1996 Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac - Bordeaux - France At the beginning, the wine was a little bit short and I missed some big complexity. The 96´ played hide-and-seek! But with food, surprisingly with "Turbo and pulpo cassoulet", the wine started to sing. Flavors of black cherry, coffee, bitter-chocolate and a touch of clove.. WOW, seductive..1996 Pichon Comtesse coats ones palate with velvety tannins. Almost right-bank decadent opulence and great length and complexity! All the flowery, feminine and sensuous elegance of Pichon Comtesse.. Score: 93/94/100		1995 Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac - Bordeaux - France Nose of pencil lead. A fine grip structure with dry tannins. Not as sexy as the previous vintages, but more masculine Pichon Comtesse de Lalande with muscles. No doubt, it has a big potential, but needs some time to come around. Hard to make any predictions, but this wine could be excellent in a few years Score: 91/100

1990 Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac - Bordeaux - France Can anyone tell me how is it possible to make such a bad wine in such an outstanding vintage?! The first bottle had exess acidity and thanks to Mr. Gildas d'Orllone we opened a Magnum which was much better, but still quite disappointing given the pedigree. Score: 83-84/100		1985 Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac - Bordeaux - France Flavors of sloe/blackthorn and some kind of liquor/portwine like notes. Not my kind of wine! Score: 89/100
