1966 Mission Haut Brion: dark red with an orange edge. Game animal nose, leather, smoky tones, a typical Mission Haut-Brion nose. Powerful with a long but drying finish. A nice wine but certainly not the superstar of the vinatage. 84/100

1990 Mission Haut Brion: dark and deep garnet colour, Very intense nose with liquorice, leather and "animal" flavours, very impressive concentrated frame, extremely long. 1990 Mission Haut Brion is really a great wine! Anticipated maturity: 2010 - 2015. 95/100

1994 Mission Haut Brion: dark ruby hue. The 1994 Mission Haut-Brion is a typical Pessac-Leognan Gaves wine with scents of leather, cedar, tobacco and a slight tar undertone. Well-balanced fleshy structure. This wine is soon ready for drinking. Maturity 2008 - 2012. 89/100

1999 Mission Haut Brion: blackcurrant and oak on the nose. On the palate 1999 Mission Haut-Brion is expressively round, big and tannic. Together granular and silky. A mind-blowing wine massive yet forward and charming. This wine should age magnificently well. 91/100

2001 Mission Haut Brion: dark ruby red. Elegant berries and Havana nose underlined by lacteous notes. Beautiful texture and remarkable precision on the palate. Spicy notes and great persistence. Splendid and rigorous finish. Another solid success for Mission Haut Brion after the legendary 2000 Mission Haut-Brion ! 89/100

2002 Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux, France

2002 Mission Haut Brion: the nose of 2002 Mission Haut Brion is at first a bit reticent but displays blackcurrant and raspberries flavours. Chewy tannins and lead pencil. 02 Mission Haut Brion is not very spectacular at this stage but it's quite straight forward to assess the wine's potential. No doubt 2002 Mission Haut Brion needs to age another 5 - 10 years to show its potentialities. Maturity: 2015. 90/100
